My name is Jackson Clarke. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the intricate world of tobacco, from the rich aroma of fresh-cut leaves to the complex process of crafting world-class cigars and cigarettes. As a seasoned expert with more than 20 years of experience in this unique industry, I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in the depth and breadth of the tobacco world and I’d love to share my journey with you.
I’ve had the honor of working with some of the industry’s most iconic companies. My career began at British American Tobacco, where I honed my skills in tobacco blending and quality control. Later, I had the opportunity to serve as a lead product developer at Philip Morris International, pioneering innovative products that balanced tradition with contemporary consumer demands.
Some of my career milestones include receiving the International Tobacco Expert Recognition Award for my contribution to developing sustainable farming practices. Furthermore, I led a team that launched an innovative tobacco product line that was recognized as “Best New Product” at the Global Tobacco Awards. I also take pride in my several published research papers which have substantially contributed to the understanding of tobacco chemistry and its impact on product quality.
Currently, I am happily residing in the vibrant city of London, United Kingdom. The rich history of tobacco trade in this city adds to my daily inspiration.
Away from the formal, structured world of the tobacco industry, I am quite the enthusiast of outdoor activities. Nothing rejuvenates me more than a good hike or a kayaking trip over the weekend. Additionally, I have a fondness for jazz music and I play the saxophone in a local band every once in a while. These hobbies, I believe, balance my professional life and provide me with a broader perspective on life itself.
